Alright eps 2! honestly i don't remember much when i write this for eps 2 bcs it's been 3 yrs since I've read this in the game, but now ill focus more on the exposition and character description like Nearl, Doctor, Amiya, Dobermann and so on.

first you'll most likely see the Doc/Amiya team to meet up with Nearl team, and then from there to hastily proceed in getting out of the city, and they're now either going to get ambushed by Mephisto/Crownslayer/W as the Reunion leaders, and you might even encounter Talulah this eps too that's the head honcho of Reunion, a Draco race. pls feel free to ask me about the details and further context/exposition in this eps.

Now for FAQs and Character info so far that's not so much spoiler:

1. what is Terra?
Terra is a planet in Arknight where all the events unfolds, it has a gigantic continent that spanning from the utmost west and east with no ocean in between, it has it's own "Arctic" in the north. the ocean lies in the far South area, far East, far West, and possibly far North, take it as Pangaea for now bcs even in the latest content we don't know whether there's another continent or not.

2. what is Originium?
a stone of very high energy with many unexplained nature, a source of energy of most civilization and aspects of life in Terra. battery in Terra are fitted with Universal Originium Circuit, where the stone can act as storage for the energy which can be recharged by Originium Arts (to put it simply, magic). it can work as a combustion too which almost every explosives use. Yes, there are no gunpowder in Terra, some of Terra physics and chemistry are foreign to Earth standards and some undoubtedly mirror it. and for a the sake of keeping your sanity intact, just don't ask and wonder about why gunpowder didn't exist in Terra for too long. for further information i will disclose and share when asked or an important point in this eps or future one were needed of explanation. Originium can be called as the very life of Terra itself

3. what is Oripathy?
an incurable disease, to caught it you have multiple ways but all includes a direct or non direct relations to Originium, most infections happens where they mined, processed and manufacture Originium in the factory thus it was often associated with the Proletariat class. it can also infect you when you were caught in an explosion, which almost every explosives uses Originium inside it bcs of how potent it is. if you are a war vet then there's a great chances you've caught one, and war is frequent.

but how do you get infected really? is it contagious? is it airborne? is it depends on fluid exchange between ppl? or is it genetics?

many of readers and lore enthusiasts joy are from discussing this very thing, as our knowledge evolves with every new reveal. but for now what you need to know is :
- it is NOT a contagious disease, atleast not by direct contact with the infected
- it is to some extent airborne but not bcs bodily fluids of the infected in the air, but by dust, Originium Dust that can spread from explosives, mine caving and so on.
-it is lethal but how long can a person survive it depends to each of them, and species. it can take months if not treated for stabilizing or much sooner, or it can take decades if treated well and with full of luck. what certain is, your going to fucking DIE from it, no cure.

and one more thing, when an infected die, if their carcasses is not properly treated then it could be a new source of an infection. it could explode and yes, Originium Dust.

4. how many Races in Terra??
many, very many (i can list it all if you want with the desc too) but one thing, one very important stuffs that i have to pin and remind even players alike all the time and that is..

8. who's Dobermann?? race= Perro (Dog ppl)
a combat instructor of Rhodes Island and also one of it's operator (term for field worker/agent of RI). former military captain iirc from a nation that have an ongoing 3 way civil war called Bolivar, situated on the upper southwest of the continent.

a very stern person bcs of her background, but also bcs she's someone that's idealistic. she switched side in the civil war multiple times whenever that side started to go more corrupt and stray from their goals, in the end realizing that all of it is futile and seek help to RI as well as getting her treatment, which she pays by working as an Instructor

9. who's Nearl??

A knight of Kazimierz, a nation in the central plain of the continent and also a defender operator of RI. our knight in shining armor, bright as a sun and beacon of hope, one of the older RI operators too along with her two friends of in which they make a group who travel thru the land and helped infected on their own, basically a very Rhodes Islanders at heart. she has light based Originium Arts that can also heal.

one thing i want to add which is very important trivia, in Terra, even if Arts exists and can heal ppl in still doesn't work like magic in countless other fantasy. "magic" CAN'T CURE THINGS INSTANTLY, obvious with Oripathy. that's why in Arknight there really is no conveniences in it's magic, everything is hard earned. there is no skill based magic where you can learn just by reading a grimoire or the likes, everything has a price and there's no shortcut to it.

note: i can make some too for the Reunion leaders if some of you want, Talulah tho, a lot of it gonna be heavy spoiler along with W, by this point i haven't watched the eps yet so feel free to correct me or ask more

5. who's Doctor??
Doctor is, as you can say our POV and the player/reader/watcher in Arknight, they're undoubtedly one the main character in it but make no mistake, unlike other gacha game story or anime in general, this "self insert" character is NOT the main focus in many stories in Arknight, especially on this anime that you watch for the next 6 eps and more. Doc DO have stories focused on them but you won't seeing them anytime soon.

Doctor is by the name and callsign, someone that has PhD in Theoretical Originium and Neuroscience, Doc got more degree than that but for now that's what's important. as to why Doc then working as their field commander? the details is spoiler but what you should know is that, Doc was once part of the organization that predates Rhodes Island, and there Doc mainly worked as their commander there bcs this previous organization are not a Pharmaceutical company, but faction in a civil war somewhere called Babel

some of you gonna ask why did i called Doc with third party noun all the time? that's bcs Doc in the game up till now are NOT gendered, whether male female or non binary. thus they choose a VA who can voiced androgynous character. go ahead with your headcanon but don't take and shove it as fact to other ppl.

6. who's Amiya?? race= Cautus/??? (Rabbit ppl)
the leader and CEO you can say and literally of Rhodes Island. a caster who had a very powerful Originium Arts and with that can also knows your emotions. , young may she is but her understanding of situation and negotiation prowess are pretty high. why is she taken that role? many of that answer is spoilet but what i can say is that she is the most ideal for that, and can push for what Rhodes Island want to achieve the most.

and im gonna put one of the best quote to describe her and Rhodes Island from the game that colors their ideal

7. who's Ace?? race= Phytia (Snake ppl)

one of RI Elite Operators, a defender operator. totally dependable dude who have been with RI since before the organization that predates it (spoiler but go ahead ask away if you want) qlong with Scout, another EO that you will see in this anime. they both are buddies with Doc for long qnd have been the staunchest voice in RI to bring Doc back (some if not many are against it since they didn't know Doc or thinking the risk and price are not worth it all, which you'll see later).

he and Scout are ready lay down their life any moment for Doc, whether for rescue or for Doc to have a better life. a total bro

When I started the game, I always doubted Ace and thought he would betray us as we didn't have much lore or settings at the beginning.

To this day, I still have regret doubting this man hero... T-T

I'm just glad they gave him a Chadly voice. That's all. I would've given this anime a 4/10 if they gave the chad a bad voice, but no, this is definitely a 10/10 now XD

Will we get to see Frostnova? I saw some ad and her design was cool.

Don't think we will, Frostnova appears after chapter 3, and to my knowledge, this anime will only adapt chapters 0-3

Faust skill: turn invisible and enhanced charge shot
Talulah skill: Fire manipulation
Amiya skill: Ring user that deal black Arts
Nearl skill: self-healing

I still think they opened the wrong tomb. Doctor doesn't give me even remotely the same vibes as his game counterpart does. Meanwhile, every other operator is on point with their game version, so it's not like they're taking much creative liberty either.

Ehhh, it's something. It's hard to make the game counterpart interesting. I'd say they tried, but they really haven't. I'd have loved it if they gave the Dokutah in the anime a unique personality, that wasn't shown in the game at all, but it's the exact same flat charactered Dokutah

There's pretty much three personality routes to choose from most of the time, in the game. You either play the enigmatic dokutah and answer everything with '...' (or you take it as him sleeping through literally everything ppl say to him), you play as the dokutah that is engaged and takes things seriously or you play him as a goofball who likes to feign ignorance and act dumb, when he's already simulating the checkmate moves inside his head.

Given his background history, the last thing I want to see is a dokutah that acts like a rookie and is overly expressive in response to everything that's happening.

I also won't like the contrast where he meticulously manages to accomplish Amiya's idealistically absurd desires on the battlefield when everyone else sees it as an unnecessary and ill-advised risk, contrasted with him stumbling around when they're being driven into a corner, but Amiya not having an ethical crisis at the time. Bc so far it's starting to look like there's an Amiya switch to his genius.

Oh yeah, forgot the choices we get in the game, that doesn't really matter XD

So long as he's sufficiently unique & impactful, i'll be satisfied. They've got a unnique chance to flesh out the Doctor. I hope they've spend some long days discussing & weighing each others suggestions for the doctor's character.

Doc is never the mc, and your expectations really have no thoughts if you think Doc should immediately take the stage AFTER having coma for 3 yrs, while knowing he's also really frail.

I mean, while you can argue Amiya is the MC, sure, but there have been recent chapters where Amiya hasn't been in it at all, like Chapter 9, and we get to play instead. Sure, I'm sure the Dokutah isn't in it either, since Amiya isn't there, but I consider us as the Dokutah, so wherever we are in the game, the Dokutah is as well

Amiya 100% the Doctor is more of a Support/Side character. Aka mostly our window/POV for the world & events inverse.
